READBowl: The World Championship

Starting Monday, January 9 we will compete in a world-wide reading challenge called the READBowl.
- The competition begins the day of the American College Football National Championship (January 9, 2023).
- READBowl will culminate with a live crowning of the World Champions of Reading on the morning of the National Football League’s (NFL) Super Bowl Sunday (February 12, 2023).
- READBowl is a 4-week program divided into four quarters and includes a halftime show.
- Your reading minutes should be logged each day and by Sunday each week. A reading log is available for your use. Reading minutes should be entered in the reading log form before midnight each Sunday.
- You can log ALL your reading - reading for pleasure and reading for classwork in all subjects.
- We will have access to the locker room after each quarter, with videos from some of your favorite authors.
- The top reader in each grade level, each quarter, will win a free book.
- The top grade level at the end of the competition wins open gym.
Seventh Grade Won Open Gym!
- The winning school gets all kinds of goodies, such as a live event with football player and author Malcolm Mitchell, books, etc.
