Field Trip

Students from Career Development, Business and Computer Science and Resource classes toured the Cox Media Group. They were able to meet anchor Fred Blankenship as well as Cory "Zooman" Miller and Checka Cee from "The Morning Groove" 104.1 morning show. They saw the inner workings of a live radio show, where and how they tape recorded shows, the set of the Georgia lottery, and of course the WSB-TV news set. Students were intrigued to see how the "green screen" is used in reporting the weather (ie how do they know where to point). They were also shocked at how small the radio stations are and how "self-contained" they are (meaning how one person can do everything by them selves.)
