Point of Pride: Hispanic Heritage Month 

Description: KMS students spent the month of October participating in activities that embrace the Hispanic Culture. Throughout the month students engaged in activities such as a Hispanic bookmarker design contest. The month ended with students participating in a Hispanic Heritage Program that allowed community members to see student performances. 
 


Impact: Participation in the Hispanic Heritage activities provided opportunities for students to showcase their talents while learning about the Hispanic Culture. Students developed leadership skills, improve their communication abilities, while performing for their parents, teachers, and classmates.

Point of Pride: Science Fair Winners

Description: Kendrick Middle School has three students who participated in the CCPS 2026 Science and Engineering Fair. The students did a phenomenal job and were awarded 1st and 3rd place.  Avery S. and Nallely S won 3rd place. Nia D. won 1st place. She advanced to the Georgia Science & Engineering Fair. The students were guided by their 8th grade Physical Science Teacher, Ms. Ferguson. 
 


Impact: The students who participated in the Science Fair gained a deeper understanding of the scientific process. They engaged with various community members as part of the science fair process.

Point of Pride: EOY Map Celebration

Description: KMS students who showed growth in all areas of the NWEA MAP assessment participated in an end of year celebration. They ate BBQ burgers and other tasty treats. After eating, they went to the gym to participate in indoor activities including basketball.
 


Impact: KMS students showed exceptional growth on the end of year assessment.  They were very excited and motivated to continue to increase growth and achievement. This growth prepared the students for success on the Georgia Milestone.

Point of Pride:  Teacher Appreciation Week - Heroes Unite

Description: The week was spent celebrating KMS teachers. The administrative team showed their gratitude for the teachers by providing them with tasty treats and lunch throughout the week. The students showered the teachers with words of gratitude. Beta Club member provided with teachers with treats. 
 


Impact: Teachers felt appreciated and were delighted with the food and gifts.
